Description
A modified version of Knitty's Aeolian Shawl pattern. I knit it on 00 (1.75mm) needles using one ply of Caron Country yarn.
There are about three hundred beads in the shawl, which is the result of drastically reducing the number called for in the pattern. I did however, add some beads to the pattern, mainly in replacing the nupps with 6/0 "e" beads and added a V of seed beads around the three bead clusters in the edging pattern. Each bead was individually placed on a stitch using either a size 12 steel crochet hook (the e beads) or a length of 28ga wire (the hundreds of seed beads).
